A Puffy Cloud Day
I love puffy cloud days, those skies that are filled with Simpson clouds (like those in the opening of the TV show, The Simpsons) The make me smile and make me sing ‘What a Wonderful World’.

“There Was One Who Thought Himself Above Me, And He Was Above Me Until He Had That Thought.” – Elbert Hubbard
I am not sure about this anymore. It seems to have a ‘false modesty’ thing that you find in Christianity often. There is a ‘rule’ that you are suppose to not know of your own greatness or goodness, that if you do it is pride. I now disagree with that to some degree. I think it is good to know who you are. That doesn’t mean you are conceited, it means you see clearly. That also does not mean you aren’t going to be humble and appreciate others and who they are and how they compare to you. If they are better, then you admit that as well.

“The Future Is Much Like The Present, Only Longer.” – Dan Quisenberry
This can be depressing or exciting depending. The question is ‘depending on what?’

“Do Noble Deeds, Do Not Dream Them All Day Long.” – Charles Kingsley
This quote is a clue as to why some people love to give speeches, sermons, admonitions, etc. It is easier to talk than to walk. I am in this group as well. Dreaming or talking about being something (or not being something) is fun, it’s social, it’s
inspiring. Actually going out and doing the deed can, on occasion, be those things too, but more likely it will include sweat, sacrifice, time, energy, discomfort, lack of recognition and attention.
So, how does one create an opportunity for ‘noble deed doing’ that people actually want to do? Any ideas?
